Pleased to do a third piece for Bleeding Cool, this time a review of an independent local comic release.
ABC Technology: MMOs and Innovation
I’ve been slack submitting stuff to the ABC, so I’m glad to break the drought with a piece on MMOs and how the dollar can work against innovation.

Second piece for Bleeding Cool
You can read it right here – was nice to be able to profile some local talent and hopefully will be able to do some more in the future as well. If you’re an Aussie or NZ comic creator and would like your work reviewed, I’m always happy to hear from you.
Oz Comic-Con for Bleeding Cool
Had a great weekend in Melbourne – covered the inaugural Oz Comic-Con for the very influential comics website Bleeding Cool. The Convention itself turned out to have some organisational issues but I’m hopeful they’ll do better second time around. I’ll be writing a follow-up piece for Bleeding Cool on the handful of Aussie publishers/writers/artists/podcasters I managed to meet.
It’s great to be writing about an area I’ve loved since childhood and hopefully I’ll be doing some more in this area.
Australian Macworld: music app roundup
Nice to do another piece for AMW and a larger one to boot. It’s a 3000-word feature on music-related apps for iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch. It’ll be appearing in the February 2012 print issue and I’m assuming online sometime after.
ABC Technology: Review of Star Wars The Old Republic
A longer piece for the ABC, doing a review of the upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, based on my experiences in beta testing. If you’re a Star Wars geek, it’s a game that you’ll enjoy a lot. It’s also a game that’s taken up a lot of my writing time as I run my own site devoted to the game.
